About The Artist:
Born in Buffalo, New York in 1962. For the past 18 years I have made Southern
California my home and the majority of my work is shot here. The diverseness
of the landscapes allow for some intriguing images. My passion for photography
began 7 years ago. I went to a local camera store and purchased an enlarger,
chemicals, paper and a book on processing your own photographs. After several
more books, many rolls of film, and countless hours in my "dim room" (not
quite a dark room, unless it is dark outside) I have arrived to where I
am today. I shoot 35mm and 120mm format. My 35mm shots are with a Mamiya
ZE. It is a wonderful camera! It was only built for 3 or 4 years in the
early 80's. The camera was built so well that Mamiya decided that it wasn't
cost effective to compete in the 35mm market. So they abandoned the 35mm
line and concentrated on there larger format cameras. I feel fortunate to
have such a great tool. For my 120mm shots I use a Waltzflex. This camera
is very special to me because it was found at a thrift store for only $6.00.
It seemed to be in good shape so I shot a test roll. "Sonora" is a shot
from that test. I think the picture speaks for itself. Lately my passion
has been the Polaroid Transfer Images. After trying the 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 prints,
I knew larger images would be spectacular. My first 8x10 image transfer,
"Road To Mecca" confirmed my belief. The process creates stunning images
that are each unique in their own way. I hope you enjoy viewing these images
as much as I have enjoyed creating them. Please stop back from time to time
as I hope to update this site regularly. If you see anything you like, please
e-mail me. (Even if you just want to tell me you like it, feedback is always
appreciated). Thank You, OttoBonn |
